BI311 Genetics

Winter 2020, Oregon State University, Integrative Biology, 2020

I served as instructor of record for BI311 Genetics in the Winter 2020 quarter at Oregon State. This is a required course for undergraduate Biology majors, and there were 173 students enrolled. This class was in person except for the last week of class, which was hybrid in-person/online due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Summer high school STEM camps

STEM camps, Oregon State University, Botany and Plant Pathology, 2015

I developed and taught classes as part of several summer STEM camps for high school students from 2015-2019. Students learned introductory programming, including genome assembly and annotation or microbiome analysis. Students also extracted DNA and prepared sequencing libraries in lab classes.
